Seeking professional with experience to fulfill the Project Engineer position at B&G

Reports To:
Chief Engineer

Role:
The Project Engineer is responsible for the design and development of all B&G shop drawings, sketches,
coordination drawings, as-builts, etc., as assigned by either the Chief Engineer or, if applicable, the Lead
Project Engineer. The Project Engineer will ensure that all assigned tasks are completed in the time
frame set forth by the chief engineer or, if applicable, the Lead Project Engineer.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the drafting and coordinating of all assigned projects from start to completion
  (shop drawings to as-builts).
• Prepare shop drawings and/or sketches as required for assigned projects or as directed by the
  Chief Engineer or, if applicable, the Lead Project Engineer.
  • All drawings shall be clear and concise, and shall be prepared using AutoCAD in an
    efficient and timely manner with the standards set forth by the Engineering
    department.
• Work closely with the foreman and/or project manager to develop cost-effective techniques in
  the design and layout of shop drawings.
• Manage and maintain organized folders for shop drawings and/or sketches in the Company
  database

• Communicate questions effectively with the Chief Engineer, Lead Project Engineer, if applicable,
  project managers and foremen which arise during the preparation of shop drawings, contract
  drawings and general project specifications.
• Respond to questions from the project manager and foreman regarding shop drawings, contract
  drawings and general project specifications.
• Assist the project managers in the preparation of Requests for Information (RFIs) for various
  projects.
• Prepare drawings for coordination meetings.
  • These drawings shall be prepared using AutoCAD and shall be checked prior to the
    Coordination meetings using Navisworks.
• Attend BIM Coordination meetings for assigned projects as necessary and represent the
  company in compliance with the company mission statement.
• Create “as-built” drawings during the execution of a project, using marked-up field drawings,
  and previously generated shop drawings.
• Notify the Chief Engineer and/or the Lead Project Engineer, if applicable, of all project-related
  issues (including personnel, schedule, work-load, client demands, delays, issues, etc.) that could
  affect B&G, the project, etc.
• Notify the Project Manager, the Chief Engineer, the Lead Project Engineer, if applicable, and the
  Director of Project Management of all issues that may result in a change to the contract price
  and/or the schedule.
• Perform all other duties assigned by the Chief Engineer and/or the Lead Project Engineer.
